What Comes With Your Pup

Your new furry family member will go home with:

✔️ AKC registration papers
✔️ Vet and vaccine records

✔️ Microchip Information
✔️ A starter bag of their current puppy chow to ease the transition
✔️ A comfort toy with their mom’s scent to help them feel secure

Helping Your Puppy Settle In

🐾 Prepare Before Bringing Your Puppy Home
-Puppy-proof your home: Puppies are naturally curious and love to explore. Remove hazards like loose wires, toxic plants, or small objects they could swallow.
-Create a safe space: Set up a playpen or cozy bed where they can feel secure.
-Have the essentials ready: Food and water bowls, a collar and leash, baby gates (if needed), training treats, and chew toys.

🐾 Keep the First Day Calm
Limit visitors at first so your pup can explore their new environment at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed.

🐾 Start a Routine Right Away
-Feed them and take them outside at the same times each day to build a predictable schedule.
-Take them out frequently (after eating, playing, and waking up) to help with potty training.

🐾 Begin Training Early
-Use positive reinforcement: reward with treats and praise when they potty outside instead of punishing accidents.
-Teach basic commands like sit, stay, and come to start their training off right.

🐾 Socialize Slowly & Safely
-Gradually introduce your puppy to new people, sounds, and environments in a controlled way.
-Wait until all vaccinations are complete before visiting dog parks or public spaces.

🐾 Be Patient & Enjoy the Journey!
Puppies need time to adjust, so stay consistent and patient as they learn. Most importantly, have fun bonding with your new best friend!

The Rule of 3's For a Smooth Transition

📆 First 3 Days – Let your puppy explore and adjust to their new surroundings. Keep things calm and low-stress.

📆 First 3 Weeks – Focus on training and bonding with your pup through positive interactions.

📆 First 3 Months – Continue socialization and training to shape a well-adjusted, confident dog.
